Even now, at 50, I’m still competing, still climbing podiums, and still running side by side with my dogs. Sometimes they keep up with me… and sometimes I’m the one trying to keep up with them.

That bond with my dogs is what first opened my eyes to the importance of what we feed them. I’ve lived through the heartbreak of a dog with cancer. I’ve cared for an overweight pup who tore a cruciate ligament. And I’ve fostered more dogs than I can count—many with itchy skin, dull coats, or such bad breath that adoption felt impossible. Over and over, I saw the same pattern: treating symptoms didn’t work. Healing started when we addressed the root cause—nutrition. Once these dogs were fed a species-appropriate diet, their bodies transformed. They grew stronger, their coats shone, and they finally had the chance to thrive in loving homes.

That’s when it became crystal clear to me: food is medicine. For humans. For dogs. For all of us.

Today, I’ve turned that passion into a mission. I’ve studied canine nutrition with multiple organizations, traveled across the world to learn from the best, and filled every spare moment with classes and conferences so I can bring the latest knowledge back to my community.
